The Orinda Seclusion project began with a hedge of juniper (which were older than dirt) along the entire length of the front yard.  The house was remodeled and the front yard was thrashed, so we began again, keeping only the Magnolia and two Japanese Maples in the front. Dry-stack walls were incorporated to give level areas and pull the hillside away from the front door.  Large stones help bring visitors to the door.  The back yard which is also a hillside, needed new steps down to the lower garden. The entire lower garden was revisited to complement the newly remodeled house.  This being a new install, give Orinda Seclusion a year or two and it will be filled in and gorgeous.
